France Day 6-10

Heh...I know I have a lot of catching up to do. I got sick a few days ago and all I wanted to do was sleep.

Day 6ish?

226. Waking up at 2:30 am
227. Falling back to sleep at 6
228. Waking up again at 9
229. Having a relatively chill day
230. Bubbly water and lemon
231. Russian neighbors and their broken English
232. This phrase repeated several times by Russians: "PUTIN NO. OBAMA NO. WE FRIENDS? YES!"
233. Our Russian neighbors offering us huge shots of Cognac
234. Using this exact laptop to pull up Google translate and communicating with them
235. Giving them food for their generosity
236. Two Russians lips on both sides of my cheeks kissing me as a "thank you" gesture
237. Coming back two hours later and seeing two adult Russian men passed out in their underwear
238. Getting invited by the Russians to go to Disneyland. We said no

Day 7ish?

239. Reflections of the sun from the pond
240. Feeding my orange cat with tuna and ham
241. Although the cat won't let me touch her, she meowed for me to feed her more food
242. Driving to a medieval city
243. 22 euros worth of toll payments
244. My parents giving me the change so I can give the change to the poor
245. A beautiful black cat in the window
246. Castles
247. Bell towers
248. Shrubs growing on rooftops
249. Cross
250. Old concrete stairs
251. Old brick walls
252. Creek reflections
253. Seeing all of this while the rain poured heavily
254. No umbrella or cap
255. Wet hair
255. Understanding why the French don't shower much. They shower in the rain
256. The drive back home
257. Bit of a runny/stuffy nose coming back home
258. Bendadryl that knocked me out until the next morning

Day 8ish

259. Waking up sick
260. Packing up our stuff to go to Beaune
261. Before leaving, I saw our Mama Goose and five baby goslings
262. Before leaving, I fed my orange cat the past piece of ham
263. Orange cat still never let me pet her
264. Sitting in the middle seat for 7+ hours of driving
265. Getting sicker throughout the car ride
266. Quick stop in Chabris
267. Tasting Chabris wine. No one liked it except me. It's something that my friends in LA would like
268. No pharmacy opened today (it was a 'holiday')
269. No meds
270. Getting back on the road for our destination
271. Taking another detour to visit an abbey
272. By then, I'm getting the shivers and I can't breathe
273. I didn't care to go in and visit the abbey because there weren't any nuns
274. Trying to sleep while the rest of the group visit the abbey
275. Instead I watched four male ducks chase after one female duck
276. None of the male ducks gave up. That female duck is the envy of many women
277. Behind this 'pursuit' was a large green meadow
278. Sometimes the clouds blocked the sun. The cloud's shadow projected on the meadow
279. When the clouds moved with the wind, the shadows on the meadow moved with it
280. Nature prettier than a lot of these old buildings
281. Passing by another medieval city. Pleading the driver to not stop and get to our destination so I didn't have to sit in the middle of the car
282. Realizing that I had the flu.
283. Shivers getting more frequent
284. Extending the car trip even more by getting lost
285. Shivers escalating into a massive headache
286. Checking into the hotel and about to cry due to do impatience, pain, nausea, and helplessness
287. Taking a hot 40 minute shower to drown out my feelings
288. Skipping out on dinner to 'sleep'
289. Downloading the Bible app on my Kindle Reader
290. My Bible App turned 259, 265, 268, 269, 272, 282, 283, 285, and 286 into blessings
291. Unable to comprehend life without my Bible App
292. Taking Benadryl and knocking out after hearing/reading God's word

Day 9ish

293. Waking up feeling much better
294. A functional (but not fully functional) nose
295. An opened pharamacie
296. The French have no Advil, Mucinex, or Nyquil. Instead their medicine follows a holistic approach. The pharmacist told me to take antibacteria and probacteria.
297. Crazy farmer's market in Beaune
298. My shopaholic mother
299. My mother's happiness from her set of knives
300. My new addiction to my Bible app
301. I'd rather read my Bible than shop with my mom in France
302. Lunch places not opened after 1 p.m.
303. Only one place would take us in for lunch
304. The owner of the restaurant served us
305. Beaune is the capitol of Burgundy, which is a type of red wine. Therefore all restaurants only serve Burgundy wines
306. Wine museum..
307. Visiting Hotel Dieu
308. Translation: God's Hotel
309. What actually is Hotel Dieu? It's a hospital for the poor in the 1400's
310. Hotel Dieu's chapel room. The owner wanted to remind himself about his salvation. He also wanted to extend salvation to his patients
311. This is my favorite destination so far
312. If I were to make a lot of money, I want to do something like this
313. I can't wait to die and meet this man in heaven
314. The happiest artist I've seen in my life

Day 10
315. Waking up and driving to Paris
316. Falling asleep the entire way
317. Visiting the Opera House
318. Beautiful statues
319. Chandeliers
320. Wall murals
321. Live music
322. Finally poor people to give money to!
323. My father resembling a blind mouse
324. My Bible App
325. Sun rays
326. Rainbow skies
327. Checking Facebook and seeing how Theo and Jon get to teach a workshop. And all a sudden I was insanely jealous!! Still am...UGHH I WANT TO TEACH THEOLOGY!!!!!!
328. After ranting to my beloved friend, I calmed down and prayed for them.
329. My love for theology
330. Parisan Japanese food
331. Full health. YAAS!!
