France Day 5

187. Waking up with a full 6 hour sleep
188. Dew drops on flowers
189. Squishy grass beds near the creek
190. Little frogs popping into the creek as you get closer
191. Looking one frog in the eye and telling it, "Jesus loves you, little creature!". Then it hid under water
192. The commotion of ducks camping outside my backyard because they know that I give food
193. Lime green baby goslings
194. Looking at them carefully and realizing that they're actually mustard yellow with brown
195. Battle scars of male mallards. Earned as a reward for their female mate
196. Evil Goose either disappeared or stopped acting mean to me
197. Waiting for everyone to get up, getting impatient, then falling back asleep
198. Begging my mother for extra change so I can give it to the poor
199. Setting up the new rental car's GPS that gives us directions in French. Not helpful
200. Despite having a GPS, we still got lost
201. Arriving at Versailles at 2:00 pm and expecting a lunch place to be opened. Most were not
202. A small crepe place still opened
203. A fantastic server who recommended dinner for us, drew a map, and explained as much as he could with his broken English
204. Parking outside the Palace of Versailles. My parents assigned me to remember where we parked. I trolled and said, "Ok, I'll remember it next to this blue car." They laughed and rolled their eyes
205. Gold plated gates
206. The football-field-length line to get into the Palace of Versailles
207. The woman in line in front of us helped us get tickets
208. Staring at that woman's mesmerizing diamond ring for five minutes
209. Waiting this long line in the pouring rain with no umbrella
210. Some other lady ahead of us with a bright green jacket, chomping on a greenish apple, and a face shaped like an apple
211. The security guard initiating the line to move. The lady didn't hear him. So he had to tell her three times
212. After she finally moved, the security guard rolled his eyes, looked at the crowd, and pretended to chomp on an apple like a crazy person. Everyone laughed
213. Eventually someone tapped on the green jacket lady's shoulder and told her what he did. She proceeds to offer him her half-eaten apple
214. He looks at her enthusiastically and proceeds to move his hand to take the apple. I almost thought he would
215. He didn't take it and laughed at the situation. Everyone laughed with them
216. Finally getting into the building
217. Every inch of the palace is filled with elaborate artwork
218. These people were religiously confused...the artwork consisted of Christian and Greek mythology influence
219. Their ceiling artwork reminds me of Beauty and the Beast
220. All I could think of while looking at these riches was Ecclesiastes
221. Paintings larger than my apartment
222. Paintings/murals/artwork taking an entire lifetime to complete
223. My brother's neff mint green beanie that made it easier for my parents to know where I was
224. Learning French from our dinner waiter
225. Reactivating Facebook and talking to Gabbie and Marise
